Jennifer & Charlie… Married!

You guys. This wedding was amazing. It had everything you could ever want in a wedding (especially as a photographer!) – a beautiful ceremony in a lovely church, an amazing reception in one of the most charming venues in Kentucky, smiles and laughter all day, and full of wonderful friends and family. It’s the kind of wedding where on the drive home I can’t stop smiling thinking about it. I knew when we did Jennifer and Charlie’s engagement session that their wedding was going to be something special. But I really had no idea how spectacular it was going to be. And, my favorite part – we had so much time for photos! In three different locations! It was a photographer’s dream come true.

Sam and Brian’s wedding (preview)

It’s been way too long since I’ve blogged anything – this year has been crazy. Winter is coming (I turned on our heat last night!) so soon I will have time to get back to the blog.  I’ve been a part of some sweet weddings this year and I can’t wait to share!

 

This wedding was on the first (real) day of fall. It was chilly, leaves were everywhere, the bride wore a jacket – I loved it. I’m excited to edit the rest of the photos – I’ll be obsessed with Sam’s dress for a while! It was a tulle dream.

Sara & Damian… engaged!

When Sara and Damian told me they wanted to have their engagement session where Damian proposed, I loved it!  This was my first time shooting at the University of Kentucky (go Cats!) so it made it even more fun!

Sara’s amazing hair was styled by Cody from Fleet Street Hair Shoppe!

 

Kathy & Jay… married!

You may remember Kathy and Jay from their engagement session from last summer.  We had a blast then, and I knew their wedding would be even more so.  These two make my heart so happy – it was a beautiful day full of laughter and sweet moments.  And the wedding was in Midway – which is one of my most favorite small towns in Kentucky!

A quick stop for a little taste of bourbon at Heirloom in Midway.  🙂

Sweet horse farm engagement session

Since I fell off the blogging bandwagon in the end of 2013, I am going to post a bunch in January.   I was so busy in the fall and now I feel like I have all the time in the world!  It’s been so long since I’ve had a lot of free time (while still being in town) and I’m trying to get some behind the scenes work done.  (Like my new website that I started in August.)   I feel like I have a lot to learn in the work/life balance thing – in the fall it was 100% work, and now I am definitely leaning more to 100% life.  (ok, maybe 80% life.)  So, I am going to start back slowly, and hopefully by Monday be back on a ‘normal’ work schedule.   🙂

Here is a fun shoot from October 20th!  I’m excited for this wedding – I know it’s going to be incredible.

Amie & Zack… married!

I loved this wedding at Castle Hill Winery!  Amie and Zack are the sweetest couple.

Oliver… 6 months old!

Oliver is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met.  During our shoot I think he decided to show his serious side too, which is also crazy cute.  Can’t believe that a) it’s already November and b) he’s six months old already!

It’s been so neat to watch this family grow – it seems like just yesterday that Clara was born!
