Elmwood Farm

I was on Elmwood Farm for a shoot for Business Lexington and one of the owners, Ann, was nice enough to let me hang out after and get some shots.  A storm was rolling in and it was so nice and spring-like!  And if you are a regular reader of this blog, then you already know about my soft spot for cows.

See Elmwood Farm’s website here to learn more about their CSA boxes, products (in addition to fruits and veggies, they also offer meats and poultry and eggs), and where you can find them at Farmer’s Markets.  Lexingtonians – they are at the Cheapside Farmer’s Market on Saturday’s in downtown Lexington starting in mid-April (and it seems like they go to all the other markets in Lex!)  Stop by and say hi to Ann!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Spring!

It’s so beautiful out today!  I have these flower baskets from last year that I’m anxiously waiting to plant.  I’ve heard that you should wait until May but I don’t think I’ll be able to wait that long.

The chains on the baskets were pretty rusted from hanging there all year so I got a can of Rustoleum and spray painted them blue.  (They were black.)  I had such a good time that I looked through my house to see what else I could spray paint.  I decided to turn a glass into a vase (yes, I live in Kentucky and Mason jars are my preferred drinking vessels.)  I saw it on Pinterest – but mine ended up with air bubbles and a little drippy.  I need more patience (more coats – lighter sprays) but from afar it looks pretty good!

Flowers from my gentleman friend for my birthday.

Now the storm clouds are moving in…  I love these spring thunderstorms!

Happy Friday!!!
